Two Charged Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men following a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
