The families of teens missing after a deadly inferno at a establishment in a Swiss ski resort are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for confirmed information and pleading for clues about their family members online.

The fire engulfed the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Verified footage show the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. Authorities noted on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts ongoing to locate the remaining few.

In the waiting period, relatives have been posting on the internet to request information about their friends who were in attendance that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an appeal from his family.

The resident of a town near the city, told a local newspaper that she had returned to Lausanne to check whether he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the equivalent search in Bern, but could not find him.

"This is a living nightmare, a nightmare. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. It's horrific," she said.

She explained that some of his friends had been found with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's indescribable; they experienced an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's foreign ministry has said that six of its nationals are still unaccounted for.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, originally from Italy but now residing in Dubai.

The national sporting body has stated that he is deceased, without mentioning the fire, honoring a "talented young man who carried with him passion and authentic values."

His parent, told media that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An representative has stated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His parent told reporters that he had been on vacation but had gone out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"A close friend told me they fled after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his educators said, "I remember his kindness and smile, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to media.

Her brother has posted an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Consular authorities from her other nation say they are actively engaged with the case.
